What is digital accessibility?

An accessible website is a site that allows all Internet users to access its content without difficulty, including people with disabilities and using specialized software or hardware.

An accessible site allows for example to:

Navigate with voice syntheses or Braille tracks (especially used by blind or partially sighted Internet users).

Customize the display of the site according to your needs (magnification of characters, modification of colors, etc.).

Devialet is constantly committed to achieving the highest levels of customer satisfaction, including in the online shopping experience. As part of these efforts, Devialet is committed to offering customers with disabilities a quality, complete and accessible online shopping experience.

To achieve this objective, the website www.devialet.com is designed, developed and maintained in accordance with recognized and current accessibility guidelines and standards. To date, these are the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at levels A and AA.

As examples:

A "Enhance Contrast" feature is available in the footer to ensure a better reading experience.

Pause buttons are available on all animations.

It is possible to navigate the entire site using the keyboard, without the mouse.

We ensure that the information is readable up to 200% larger than the text size.

We are vigilant in structuring HTML code and semantics to ensure proper consultation with technical aids such as screen readers.

Although our objective is the AA level of WCAG 2.1, we also wanted to apply success criteria at the AAA level. For example, by not justifying the text, by not using texts in the form of images, etc.

Finally, we regularly have the accessibility checked by an independent and expert company, which is not involved in the design and development of the website. Our last audit was conducted by Atalan in February 2019, and all non-conformities identified were corrected by our teams.
